Well Beings Care About
Physical Health
Aloha Ke Kino
We, the well Beings, care about physical health because we need a strong, healthy body to live a full and rich life. Thus, eating nutrient-rich foods, taking care of our microbiome, exercising regularly, getting enough sleep, and reducing our stress levels are best.
Many people have become accustomed to and even enjoy the standard American diet, also known as the SAD diet, due to marketing gimmicks. However, it may surprise you that the U.S. Department of Agriculture has rated this diet only one out of ten for promoting good health. The SAD diet consists mainly of fried, processed, and convenient foods such as hamburgers, hot dogs, pizzas, french fries, and fried chicken. These foods have high heme levels, a type of iron linked to colorectal and breast cancer. Other studies have shown that non-genetic factors like diet cause up to 95% of chronic diseases. In fact, a poor diet is now the leading cause of premature death and disability in the country.
Unfortunately, most people are unaware of the adverse effects of consuming a SAD diet. This is because the impacts are not immediately apparent. But, over time, the unhealthy foods and their by-products accumulate in the body. Also, eating unhealthy foods can lead to sugar, salt, and fat addictions. So, people often continue eating poorly until they become sick or receive a life-threatening diagnosis. But we, the well Beings, are on a mission to change that through our online course, private sessions, meal plan, retreats, and other community programs!
