We the Well Beings

Well Beings Care About
Environmental Health

Aloha Ka Honua

We, the well Beings, care deeply about the health of our environment. After all, it is foundational to the health of our bodies, minds, spirits, communities, and systems.

Our world’s true wealth comes from nature, which provides us with healthy soil and food, clean air and water, shelter, and medicines. However, human activity has led to an imbalance in the environment due to our excessive use of natural resources. This has resulted in our needs and desires surpassing the planet’s capacity to sustain them. Basically, we are currently taking more from the Earth than it can provide.

As consumers, we are easily distracted by the latest trends and products. Still, we often forget about the impact our actions have on the environment. It’s important to remember that we are all interconnected and dependent on the Earth’s resources. Unfortunately, our modern mindset of disposable goods has led to a disconnect between consumers and the products they use, even though these products are sourced from finite natural resources.

Why Well Beings Care About Environmental Health

Our society is heavily driven by consumerism, leading us to buy more products than we actually require. Unfortunately, at our current consumption rates, we are quickly depleting many of our natural resources. If we don’t take care, our excessive consumption habits could cause the collapse of numerous ecosystems, including our own! Thus, It is crucial to protect the health of our environment by living within the limits of our planet’s natural systems. This involves adhering to the laws of nature and respecting Mother Earth’s established boundaries.

How Well Beings Care for Environmental Health

As individuals, we can take responsibility for the environment by examining how our actions affect the ecology and making every effort to support it. You can start by making small changes like eating more plant-based foods, recycling, and eliminating the use of non-compostable products such as plastic straws, bags, styrofoam, and all petroleum-based polymers. Additionally, reducing your carbon, water, and chemical footprint can make a significant difference!
