FAQs About the Food
Are your meals gluten free?
Sorry they are not.
Although a lot of our meals are gluten free some of them include homemade breads, pastas, and other ingredients that include gluten. Thus, our meal plan is not fully gluten free.

I have a nut allergy. Does your meal plan contain nuts?
Yes, we use nuts in our meals (sorry!).
To provide protein boosts to your meals, we often use nuts such as cashews, almonds, pine nuts, macadamia nuts, and peanuts. So, if you have nut allergies this meal plan is probably not a good fit for you.

Is your food that good?
Yes! Our customers say it's really that good!
In fact, people have told us many times that they can't believe our meals are plant-based. Indeed, it's flavorful. And they don't feel like they're eating a bunch of leaves and seeds. Also, we believe our meals are really good because we use mostly local organic produce and fresh ingredients. And of course, we top it off by adding at least one cup of LOVE into every meal.

Is your produce organic?
Not always, but we use locally organic sources as often as possible.
Generally, we do our best to get our ingredients from local farmers who grow organic produce through sustainable practices. Also, we're happy to say that many organic herbs and foods used in our meals (such as basil, rosemary, oregano, micro-greens, avocados, breadfruit, taro, and bananas) are grown and harvested from our very own 20-acre regenerative farm in WaimÄnalo.

FAQs About Other Concerns
How do I warm up my meals?
It's simple. Just warm them up in a pot, skillet, or toaster oven.
Each meal comes in a compostable container. However, when you get home, we suggest putting each meal in glass or reusable dishes and refrigerating them to keep them fresh. Then, when you're ready to eat your next meal, warm it up in a pot, skillet, or toaster oven. While we don't particularly recommend microwaves since they can alter the molecular structure of the food, you can use one if you prefer. But, remember that some meals, such as salads, poi chia seed parfait, and sandwiches, do not need to be heated. In any case, hot or cold, our food is scrumptious.

What if I can't pick up my meals in the given time frame?
No problem, we can work something out.
We know you're busy and sometimes it might be hard to pick up your meals on time. So, just let us know and we will try our best to make other arrangements and accommodate you.

I live an active lifestyle. Does your meal plan provide enough protein?
Yes! Our meals include plant proteins.
Although many believe a plant-based diet doesn't provide enough protein, this is a misconception. Some of the strongest people in the world, like Patrik Baboumian, are vegans who get all their protein from plants. In fact, Baboumian currently holds the record for completing the heaviest yoke walk carrying 1,230 pounds. To do that, he needs to eat a lot of protein. So yes, plant-based meals can be rich in protein. And specifically, our menu includes many high-protein plant foods, such as beans, broccoli, tofu, greens, nuts, seeds, and spinach.

How big are the portions?
Our portions are pretty generous.
So, most of our customers say they are very full after eating our meals. Surprisingly, sometimes they even have leftovers.

What type of packaging do you use?
We use compostable containers.
Since we are committed to sustainable practices, each meal comes in an eco-friendly, compostable container. However, to keep your food fresh, we recommend transferring your meals to glass or reusable containers (with lids) and storing it in your refrigerator once you're home.

FAQs About Health Benefits & Online Course
Will your meals help me lose weight?
It is quite possible.
Indeed, our meal plan has helped many people lose weight. But, if weight loss is your primary goal, we recommend staying on our meal plan for at least 12 weeks. Also, Dr. Malia, says, this will help break addictions to sugar, salt, and fat, and reset your "bliss point." Additionally, our online video course can support your weight loss journey by teaching you about nutrition and how to make lasting healthy changes. In general, people who completed our course and stayed on our meal plan for at least 12 weeks lost anywhere from 10 to 53 pounds, and more.

What are some of the health benefits when eating plant-based meals?
There are many benefits, but it varies.
Without a doubt, incorporating plant-based foods regularly into your diet can have significant health benefits. However, the extent of these benefits depends on your commitment to this diet and the amount of unhealthy foods and drinks you consume each day. Still, we have received numerous success stories from individuals who have followed our meal plan and taken our health course. For example, some have successfully reversed their pre-diabetic conditions and lowered their A1c levels. Additionally, in just three months, one person reduced their glucose level from 221 to 91. And others were able to eliminate their blood pressure and cholesterol medications. While we cannot guarantee the same results for everyone, we believe eating mostly plant-based meals will likely have a positive effect on your overall health and well-being.
